What’s my financial investment? Do you accept insurance?

My standard rate for a 50 minute session hour is $160. Typically, I encourage clients to schedule weekly sessions in the beginning, but I understand sometimes weekly is not feasible, so schedule at your own desired frequency.

I don’t accept insurance and I won’t bore you with all the reasons I’ve chosen to leave traditional medical billing models. However, I know folks like to use their insurance. Therefore, I’m happy to help provide you with a superbill for reimbursement. Feel free to inquire! I encourage you to contact your insurance company first.

You can also use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

Do you offer reduced rate sessions?

Yes! I offer a portion of my sessions at a reduced rate.

What does confidentiality look like as a parent?

We will go over the extents and limits of confidentiality more thoroughly during our initial intake session. In summary, as a parent you will have legal access to your child’s health information. You will automatically become involved and notified of suicidality, homicidality, and any forms of child abuse. Anything outside of these parameters, I will work with your child to determine and follow their boundaries. I’m often saying to my clients: “What would it be like if we told mom about that feeling?” While the child is my client, I’m also a cheerleader of strong family cohesion and connection.

Do you offer help to parents?

Absolutely! Parent coaching sessions are some of my favorite sessions. Do you feel stuck and confused on a particular topic? Let’s schedule a session with just you and I to talk more about it.

While I don’t offer traditional family therapy, I will frequently invite parents to their child’s session to discuss ongoing conflict, build stronger connection and help strengthen the parent-child bond.
